Jewelry Design
Explore the classic Ahousaht overlay technique of metalsmithing, using multiple layers of sheet silver with cut-out designs, textured and oxidized recessed surfaces from First Nation Artists.
Constellations
Students willl study the various star alignments used by Native-Americans to contact worldly beings.
Cedar Hat Making
Our Elders will pass the tradition of making a intricate Cedar design and learn the importance of the sacred tree
Celtic Tribal Connections
Student's will learn how the Chocktaw Tribe connected with Ireland during the Great Famine and how this relationship remains today.
Wampum Barter
Students will research the development and decline of wampum as a medium of exchange between the European settlers and indigenous peoples. Students will be taught simple Wampum jewelry techniques and oral histories of the sacred shell.
Woodcarving
This unique experience with a master wood carver is suitable for all ages and abilities. Working side by side, using the traditional simple tools, you will experience the insight that creates the fantastic wood carvings found in Ahousaht First Nations.
Messengers from Above
Student's will learn the different messages sent from the heavens in a spiritual context.
Spirit of the Drum
Come and learn about the significance of Native drums, drumming, and the material drums used to make your own drum! Students will participate in a drum circle led by the Ahousaht Soul Shakers!

Students will have access to the IBEX Theater to learn stage techniques, costume design and puppetry.

Haunted tales and mysticism surround the great island on Vancouver Island. Student's will hear first hand accounts of enchanted stories and the Island's notable landmarks.
Totem History
Gather around the circle and hear the ancient wisdom's of the Animal Totems. Brother Qaaya will share the Medicine of Native American Shamanic Totem's
How we lived
This workshop asks participants how their ancestors are present today. In addition, participants will imagine; how their ancestors perceived and archived information as a point of reference for information preparation and planning.
Art Therapy
Engaging, hands-on learning opportunities are designed for all levels of experience and knowledge. Working closely with master artists and cultural specialists, student's will have the rare opportunity to learn traditional and contemporary Native American art forms and gain insight into the rich cultural foundation that inspires and motivates each artist.

Designed thematically to reinforce cultural identity and interface with western academic standards of objective research.
Our Ancestors
This workshop is designed for students to connect to their ancestral roots for ideas and methods to use today to continue their ancestral traditions and interface them with other western methods in a holistic manner.
