Celtic Tribal Connections

Student's will learn how the Chocktaw Tribe connected with Ireland during the Great Famine and how this relationship remains today.

Wampum Barter

Students will research the development and decline of wampum as a medium of exchange between the European settlers and indigenous peoples.  Students will be taught simple Wampum jewelry techniques and oral histories of the sacred shell.

Woodcarving

This unique experience with a master wood carver is suitable for all ages and abilities. Working side by side, using the traditional simple tools, you will experience the insight that creates the fantastic wood carvings found in Ahousaht First Nations.

How we lived

This workshop asks participants how their ancestors are present today. In addition, participants will imagine; how their ancestors perceived and archived information as a point of reference for information preparation and planning.

Art Therapy
